Why move to New Zealand?

Aotearoa New Zealand is considered to be one of the best places in the world to live, often referred to as “Gods Own”. We 100% agree! Kiwis, a term of endearment for New Zealanders, are a humble lot but when it comes to bragging about our beautiful country- we are not so humble. Fiercely proud of our peaceful and multi-cultural country, New Zealanders are hugely proud of being “Kiwis”.  As an Island Nation, located in the South Pacific, New Zealand has long had the reputation of being clean and green. Blessed with snowcapped mountains, crystal clear glacial waters, pristine white sandy beaches and a relatively low population of 5 million, New Zealand is the outdoor enthusiasts haven.

Healthcare Down Under

New Zealanders benefit from a health system that is free or subsidised to all Citizens and Permanent Residents. New Zealand has 20 DHB’s (District Health Boards) throughout the country divided regionally. Each DHB is governed by a democratically elected board under the direction of the  MOH (Ministry of Health).  Additional, the publicly funded healthcare system is supported by the private health sector who provide user pays healthcare services and are often used by citizens and non-residents who are hold healthcare insurance or are able to pay for treatment.

The MOH and DHB’s provide funding nationally for all public health providers including NGO (non-Governmental Organisations) and also work in partnership with private healthcare providers funding contracts to support the Public Health sector.
