After more than 25 years in the Recruitment and Healthcare sector Jo has long dreamed of the foundation of a recruitment company with a difference and was thrilled to establish Gaia Recruitment along with its healthcare brand- Gaia Healthcare and International Healthcare Recruitment brand Gaia HealthcareNZ.
As an agency Caregiver in the Aged Residential Care sector and an Enrolled Nurse both in the Orthopaedic Department at Starship Hospital and in the disability sector, Jo started her long-standing career in Healthcare and most recently, Healthcare Staff Management.
Along with this hand on experience, Jo has also enjoyed 15 years in a staffing management capacity both for Public and Private hospitals and also National Nursing agencies and brings her love of the healthcare and recruitment sector and her second to none passion for compliance and a high level of care and integrity to Gaia Recruitment.
Jo’s philosophies include the mantra of the RIGHT PERSON in the RIGHT PLACE and believes it is critical to safe and efficient working environments and has long held the ethos that she is passionate to work with a team of empathetic and caring professionals.
Jason Kendall
Managing Director
As Managing Director, Jason’s 20 years of managing and owning successful businesses has been invaluable in ensuring a sound structure to Gaia Recruitment. After over 20 years as an employer of many staff, Jason understands the need for sound business foundations and direction and recruiting the right person for each role.
Following a long and successful career in the travel industry as both a Travel Professional but also as a business owner of national award winning multi store locations, Jason brings this wealth of commercial knowledge, drive, and experience to Gaia Recruitment. After 11 years as a member of a strategic franchise board, Jason has high level business experience and understands what is important to all business owners and managers what is important to drive a successful business. Jason’s understanding at this level will ensure a true partnership and increased productivity and added value for all Gaia Recruitment clients.
Jason has a real passion for ensuring the best practices are maintained and at all times, and that people and their well being are the forefront of each decision and policy. He is resolute to ensure that all members of the Gaia family are respected and feel valued.
